The School

At the American Folk Music School, we teach mountain dulcimer, ukulele, piano, and Jumbie jam steel drum lessons.

We provide group lessons on scholarship and loaner instruments to the less fortunate, people with special needs, homeschoolers, and anyone else who has never had the chance to take music lessons.

We have been working with Easter Seals of Cincinnati teaching mountain dulcimer to people with special needs. What a joy to see the smiles on their faces when they realize they can play an instrument.

These 6-week classes are held on Mondays. All classes are for ages 5-adult.

UKULELE SUMMER CAMP

July 14-18, 2025

10:00 AM - NOON

Grades 1- 6

Bell Tower Arts Pavillion Theater

Campers will embark on a musical journey of fun and learning! They will build confidence and learn simple strumming and easy tunes on loaned ukulele with instruction books provided. End of camp concert for family and friends.

The Library

We have an extensive library with music that can be checked out by students of the American Folk Music School. This library was made possible by many wonderful book donors. One donation came all the way from Ireland!
